Exploring Scholarship |

 The California Fire Exploring Scholarship was established in 2009 to assist the state's young adults currently active with the Fire Explorer and Cadet programs. Our goal is to offer these future Firefighters financial support to further their education and training. This program is open to ALL current Fire Explorers and Cadets in the State of California with at least six months of service in their respective posts. This includes the Cadet programs for the Los Angeles City and San Diego City Fire Departments and Huntington Beach and Long Beach Search & Rescue programs.

YEARLY SCHOLARSHIP SUBMISSION AND AWARD TIME LINE
- December - Statewide notifications made to California fire departments.
- January - Open period to submit application packets starting January 1st with a deadline of January 31st. The official application and submission details are posted on this website.
- February - Judging by Review Panel on the first Saturday of the month and awards being issued by February 28th.
